Transportation and Customs Clearance for Overseas Exhibits |
1. All overseas exhibits to CIFIT, either as cargo shipment or carry-on luggage, are subject to Chinese Customs control since they are only treated as ¡°temporarily permitted imported goods¡± without going through any import and taxation formalities.
2. The transportation agent of CIFIT is responsible for liaising with all exhibitors to arrange cargo shipment and providing a detailed cargo shipment manual for their reference.
The designated agent of the 11th CIFIT for exhibits transportation and Customs clearance is Xiamen Penavico International Freight & Forwarding Co., Ltd. Its business scope includes: maritime, land and air cargo shipment; international container and inter-modal transportation; warehousing service for general goods and bonded goods; customs clearance service; and inland haulage service.
Procedures for Exhibit Transportation:
- After booth reservation confirmed, exhibitors can contact the transportation agent and submit a list of exhibits.
- After confirming the list of exhibits with the exhibitor, the transportation agent will arrange the exhibits shipped and delivered to the booth in CIFIT venue, Xiamen, P.R.C.
- Upon arrival in Xiamen, the exhibitor can take over their cargo from the transportation agent by presenting the cargo receipt issued by the agent.
