Michael O’Sullivan: “Looking ahead, we can overcome frictions in China-EU trade.”

At the ongoing CIFIT, the newly-appointed Secretary-General of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, Michael O’Sullivan, expresses the hope that multilateral trade between China and the EU will continue to grow in a balanced manner. He is confident that looking ahead, China and the EU will be able to eliminate trade frictions.

Michael O’Sullivan was appointed Secretary-General of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China in August of this year. (He speaks fluent Chinese, the result of his service as a foreign teacher and the secretary-general of voluntary services in China). He stated that trade frictions between China and the EU are temporary in nature, believing that the future is bright for both sides. Michael O’Sullivan has recruited a special delegation to the 11th CIFIT. He is committed to facilitating business and investment between China and the EU via the platform provided by the CIFIT.
