Mr. Chen Deming is a native of Shanghai. He was born in March 1949 and joined the CPC in September 1974. He started his professional career in April 1969. He graduated from the Department of Management, International Business School, Nanjing University, majoring in business administration. He holds a master's degree in economics and a doctor's degree in management. He is now an alternate member of the 17th CPC Central Committee, Minister of Commerce and Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group of the Ministry of Commerce.
