A promotion delegation from the CIFIT Organizing Committee visited Europe from October 7 to 21 as part of the Chinese Trade and Investment Promotion Delegation organized by the Ministry of Commerce. The promotion delegation hosted two trade and investment promotion events in the Bulgarian city of Sofia and the Romanian city of Bucharest, where the delegation talked face to face to businesses from various industries.
Amid the ongoing international financial crisis, diminishing demand in the international marketplace, and the global economic recession, all nations around the world are looking to strengthen bilateral financial and economic cooperation, attract greater foreign investment, and promote nation-to-national economic and trade partnerships. Against this background, the arrival of the Chinese Trade and Investment Promotion Delegation attracted intense attention.
CIFIT’s promotion delegation took advantage of the visit to forge ties with the business communities in Belgium, Bulgaria and Romania. The delegation was warmly received by local governments and major businesses, such as the Romanian Foreign Investment Agency and Ministry of Commerce, and the Bulgarian Foreign Investment Agency. The delegation also met with representatives from renowned national trade associations, such as the Romanian Federation of Business Alliances and Entrepreneurs Association and the Bulgarian Administrative Committee of Industrial Parks and Development Zones. In the Bulgarian city of Sofia, more than 100 business representatives attended the promotion, and in the Romanian city of Bucharest, over 400 Chinese and Romania representatives took part in the enterprise matchmaking symposium.
