Chinese commerce minister Chen Deming recently had an exclusive interview with the reporter from Xinhua News Agency on the achievements made at the fourth ministerial meeting of China-Africa Cooperation Forum in Sharm el sheikh, Egypt. He pointed out that we should start and implement the 8 new measures for China-Africa cooperation declared by Premier Wen Jiabao on the basis of action plans adopted at the meeting as soon as possible.

He deemed the content of 8 new measures derived from the former ones and simultaneously changed for adapting to the current world’s situation and African actual circumstances. With the improvement of Chinese nation’s power, the measures have been slightly strengthened, with more attention paid to protection of ecological environment, beefing up the development of African own abilities and construction of the people’s livelihood project. Representatives of many countries hope to contact China on such 8 measures soon to discuss the probably best planning of implementation.
