Yuan Yuan, Vice Director of the Operating Department of the CIFIT Organizing Committee, along with her associates Wang Yajuan and Chen Xianjing, visited the consulates-general of 15 nations and 25 chambers of commerce and trade associations in Shanghai from November 16 to 20, 2009. These nations included the U.S., Ukraine, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Germany, and Sweden. The visits, hot on the heels of the 13th CIFIT, were aimed at strengthening liaison and consolidating partnerships with these organizations, forging new ties with the new commercial officers of the consulates-generals and the chief representatives and Chinese staff members of the chambers of commerce, and enlisting their opinions and suggestions, as well as promoting the highlights and plans of the 14th CIFIT. The hosts praised CIFIT, China’s most influential investment eent, for providing a platform for nations around the world to promote investment and public relations. They stated that they would continue to take part in next year’s CIFIT and invite their high-ranking government officials to join CIFIT during their visits to the Shanghai Expo next year.
