The world’s largest food enterprise Swiss Nestle stated on February 19 that though the global economic turmoil does not finish, the company continues to show confidence in Chinese market.
On that current day, the executive vice president Fan Taide responsible for the business in the Asia-Pacific and African regions said while having an interview with the reporter from Xinhua News Agency that in 2009, total sales of Nestle in Chinese market stood at CHF2.3b (one dollar approximately equals 1.08 CHF). He said that in spite of the impact of the global economic crisis, Chinese market was still full of vigor and Chinese consumers had full confidence, thus a series of economic stimulus measures adopted by Chinese government apparently exerted an imported role.
