The Department of Outward Investment and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) stated at the first preparatory meeting of the fourteenth China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) recently held in Beijing that we will make fully use of the platform of the CIFIT to continuously do well Chinese enterprises’ “going abroad” and for the activities of the Department in the CIFIT put forward the following several points of view for further work.

Firstly, issue Chinese foreign investment bulletin in 2009. The bulletin is annually made by the MOFCOM along with the National Bureau of Statistics and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange to make multi-facet and in-depth reading and introduction of the economy of the world’s main economy bodies, the constitution of Chinese foreign investors and statistic data from six aspects to publicize and present Chinese policies for foreign investment and remarkable achievements;

Secondly, struggle to issue the foreign investment cooperation development report.

Thirdly, guide and coordinate China International Contractors Association to host conferences.

Fourthly, continue to cooperate with Invest Hong Kong to host information meetings aiming at the international market based on Hong Kong. And

Fifthly, coordinate to handle the matchmaking of Chinese enterprises’ foreign investment projects and continuously coordinate with the departments of 14 key provinces and cities “going abroad” to do well project matchmaking.
