Based on the source from the UN (Viena) on March 3, a latest report of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) pointed out that China currently surpasses Japan to be the world’s second largest production country, second to the US.
In accordance with the estimation of the UNIDO, calculated according to the fixed price of USD2000, China accounted for 15.6% of the manufacturing value added (MVA) across the globe in 2009 while Japan 15.4% and the US ranked the first with the share of 19%. Gross production value of such three countries made up half of the output of the world’s manufacturing industries.
Such conclusion results from the data released in the International Yearbook of Industrial Statistics 2010 by the UNIDO, which is the merely international publication providing the global statistic data of the present situation and the trend of the manufacturing sectors for economists, designers, decision-makers and personnel in the business circle.
