At the invitation of the Academy for International Business Officials with the Ministry of Commerce, on the morning of July 19, Yuan Yuan, vice director of the Operations and Liaison Departments of the CIFIT Organizing Committee and vice director of the China (Xiamen) International Investment Promotion Center, gave a presentation about the CIFIT in Xiamen to 13 ministers, 16 minister representatives and senior officials who were attending the Investment and Trade Promotion Workshop for Ministerial-rank Officials of French-speaking African Countries. Ms. Yuan elaborated on the CIFIT and its functionality as a platform for investment and trade promotion, and introduced the new highlights, breakthroughs and arrangements for the upcoming 14th CIFIT, receiving an enthusiastic response. The ministers of Mauritius, Guinea, Mauritania and Cte d'Ivoire expressed a strong interest in the CIFIT, inquired about its schedule, and stated that they would consider sending delegations to the fair.
The workshop is organized by the Ministry of Commerce and aimed at building African countries’ capacity for trade and investment, enhancing these countries’ understanding of China, promoting the partnership between China and Africa, and sharing the best practices of China and African nations in investment and trade.
