The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) launched the pilot program on national low-carbon provinces and cities in Beijing on August 18. Relevant responsible persons from the 5 provinces of Guangdong, Liaoning, Hubei, Shaanxi and Yunnan and 8 cities, namely, Tianjin, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Hangzhou, Nanchang, Guiyang and Baoding undertaking low-carbon pilot program promised that they will deliberate and prepare the low-carbon development plan to speed up the establishment of the industrial system featuring low-carbon emission and proactively advocate low-carbon and green lifestyle and consumer mode to make contributions to the globe’s fighting against the climate change.
