"Pavilion day” events are always the center of attention at each year’s CIFIT. The CIFIT Organizing Committee has announced that more exciting “Pavilion Day” events will be staged at the upcoming CIFIT. In addition to Italy, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Macao, Henan Province and Shenyang and Wenzhou Cities will host “province city” or “city day” events and global retail giant Wal-Mart will hold similar events at the forthcoming fair as well.
The scope of this year’s “pavilion day” events will be significantly expanded. To better promote their investment projects, certain provinces and cities will stage "province city” or “city day” events at the fair. Henan, one of China’s most populous provinces, will be featured as the only “province of honor” at the 14th CIFIT. The province plans to stage a great variety of events at the fair. It will send a delegation of more than 2,000 members to the fair and aim at securing investment deals valued at about RMB 10 billion.
The Henan Province Day events will kick off on September 7. Seven events are planned, including a welcome reception, a pavilion opening ceremony, a briefing on the province’s conditions and a partnership agreement signing ceremony, an investment and trade fair between Henan and Fujian, a networking dinner party, a project matchmaking symposium, and a PR event.
Similarly, Wenzhou and Shenyang will be features as “star cities” at this year’s CIFIT. The two cities plan to take advantage of the fair to promote their investment projects.
The use of “pavilion day” events for promotional purposes has also been adopted by multinational companies. Global retail giant Wal-Mart will hold a range of events at the fair as well, including a briefing on the path to becoming a Wal-Mart supplier and a roundtable between Wal-Mart President and the mayor.
