As the China International Fair for Investment & Trade (hereinafter referred to as CIFIT) is drawing nearer, Xiamen Administration for Commodity Prices has set the ceiling room prices for all hotels in Xiamen during the period from 7th to 9th September, reports Xiamen Daily.
 
The followings are the ceiling room prices set for the standard rooms of starred hotels in Xiamen.
 
1). 5-star hotels
The maximum daily room rate set for 5-star hotel standard room is 850 yuan/room for each guest. Ceiling room prices for the luxury hotels like Seaview Resort Xiamen Hotel, Crowne Plaza Hotel Paragon Xiamen and Wyndham Hotel are 750 yuan/room for each guest.
 
2). 3-star hotels
 
The maximum daily room rate set for 3-star hotels is 625 yuan/room for each guest. These 3-star hotels include The Egret Hotel Xiamen, Royal Coast Hotel, Peony Wanpeng Hotel Xiamen and Everbright Business Hotel Xiamen.
 
3). 2-star, 1-star and unrated hotels
 
The maximum daily room rate set for the 2-star, 1-star and unrated hotels is 320 yuan/room for each guest.
 
Note: Service charges are included in the room rate for the 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotel. 2-star, 1-star and unrated hotels are allowed to collect service charges based on related regulations.
 
In addition, Xiamen Administration for Commodity Prices will also launch an intensive crackdown on those illegal hotels, restaurants, inns and hostels. A 24-hour complaint hotline will be available during the period. Consumers who have to lodge complaints over hotels’ services and irregular charges can dial 12385.
