According to the organizing committee of 14th CIFIT, one of the world’s top 500 enterprises – Wal-Mart Stores, Inc, will be participating in this year’s CIFIT for the first time.
 
The president of Wal-Mart China will come to attend the CIFIT, and will have communication with mayors of Chinese cities.
 
Apart from that, Wal-Mart will display the prototype of the first “low-carbon supermarket” in Xiamen at the 14th CIFIT. The exhibit area will be 300 square metres.
 
The low carbon supermarket uses LED energy-saving lamps instead of general lights, it is also equipped with energy-saving freezers and waste heat recovering units. During the non-peak time, parts of the lighting will be closed.
