On the morning of September 9, the China-OECD FDI Statistics Symposium opened at Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center. The symposium was attended by Lin Zheying, Deputy Director of the Foreign Capital Department of China¡¯s Ministry of Commerce; Ken Davis, OECD Senior Economist; Chen Zhiwei, division chief with the State Administration of Foreign Exchanges; Gerrit van den Dool, OECD expert with De Nederlandsche Bank; and Satoru Hagino, an Japanese banking expert.
At the meeting, Lin Zheying, stressed that China attaches great importance to cooperation with OECD in FDI statistics and will strive to build a permanent professional exchange and cooperation mechanism for FDI statistics, draw upon the mature practices of developed nations and the valuable experiences of OECE nations, and strengthen collation of related statistics.
OECD official Ayse Bertrand reviewed the development of OECD with the concrete statistics. Chen Zhiwei presented an evaluation and the outlook of China¡¯s FDI statistical work. Other attendees also share their insights.
