　　Jiang Xiaojuan is currently Vice Minister of Research Office of the State Council of China and a professor and research fellow at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). Previously, she worked for many years for the Institute of Industrial Economics, Bureau of Scientific Research, and Institute of Finance and Trade Economics of CASS, serving in turn as research office director, institute vice president, academic secretary for economic disciplines, and research institute president.

　　Her research interests include macroeconomics, international economics, industrial economics, etc. She has published more than 10 monographs and various academic papers in Chinese and English. Her representative publications include Growth, Performance and Industrial Organization Changes in System Transformation, China’s Foreign Capital Economy 쭯 Contribution to Growth, Structure Upgrading and Competitiveness, The Opening-up and Growth of China’s Economy from 1980 to 2005, Entry of China’s Economic Development into a New Phase: Challenges and Strategies, and Service Industry and China’s Economy: Correlation and Potential of Faster Growth. She has won various national awards for academic accomplishments, notably the Sun Yefang Award for Economic Science, the CASS Award for Outstanding Science Research Achievements, and the Wu Yuzhang Award for Humanities and Social Sciences.
