On the morning of September 9, the 4th Roundtable of International Investment Promotion Agencies, co-sponsored by the PRC Ministry of Commerce and the World Investment Promotion Agencies Association, was held at Asia Gulf Hotel in Xiamen. Wang Chao, Assistant Minister of Commerce, and Aley mountain der Rohe Teyi Sylla, Chairman of World Investment Promotion Agencies Association, attended the roundtable.

In his address, Wang Chao stated the roundtable offers a platform for the investment promotion agencies from different countries and regions to exchange and commuincate with each other, and had further promoted the development of the world investment agencies. He gave a brief introduction to China's absorption of foreign capital, foreign investment and infrastructure development.

Themed around “the Win-win Cooperation between Public and Private Sectors in the Infrastracture Construction, the roundtable was presided over by Gutemberg Uchoa, the special representative of the WAIPA president. Nearly 200 Representatives from investment promotion agencies of China, Sewden, Sri Lanka, Romania, Argentina and other countries attended the conference. The Secretary General of UNCTAD of the United Nations and other relevant representatives of investment promotion agencies from Sweden, Sri Lanka, Romania, South Africa, Argentina, Costa Rica, Yemen and China’s Sichuan Province delivered speeches and exchanged views.
