Macedonian delegation, led by Minister for Information Society Ivo Ivanovski attends the 12th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen, People’s Republic of China, reads Government press release.

CIFIT is one of the largest gatherings in Asia, visited by 96 ministers and vice-premiers this year alone.

The Macedonian delegation also includes representatives of the Agency for Foreign Investments, led by director Viktor Mizo.

Minister Ivanovski had a bilateral meeting with China’s Vice-Minister of Commerce, Ma Xiuhong, who expressed satisfaction from the visit, as well as the support of the Macedonian Government for Chinese companies investing in the country. Moreover, Ma Xiuhong thanked for the participation of Macedonian athletes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing.

Minister Ivanovski extended congratulations on the most spectacular Olympics thus far. He also confirmed the Government’s commitment to attract FDIs, asking Minister Xiuhong to provide contribution in promoting Macedonia as a country offering most favorable benefits in the automobile industry, as well as the ICT industries in Eastern Europe.

Furthermore, the delegation met with potential investors, who announced their intention to visit Macedonia by the year-end, reads the press release.
