On Sept.8th afternoon, the opening ceremony of Passee Culture Festival takes place at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center. The theme of the festival is “Post Olympic—Art Show of the Chinese New Generation”. Li Wuwei, vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and Wu Shaozu, deputy secretary of Working Committee directly under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CCCPC), unveiled the Art Show.
The purpose of hosting Passee Culture Festival is to encourage Chinese new generation of artists to produce more works, and improve their influence in the international artistic circle. Hosting the Art Show during the CIFIT is to promote Chinese contemporary art, improve the industrial chain of Chinese contemporary art in a rapid manner, and find a new industrial investment pattern for Chinese art.
The festival will focus on the works of Chinese artists who were born in the late 1970s, or early 80s. More than one hundred paintings, sculptures, new media, photos as well as other works of cutting-edge artists will be displayed at the festival. The Festival curator said, “The aesthetic language of the late 70s or early 80s artists reflects the potential future trend in China's new culture. Their aesthetics has ridded of the solemnity of the revolution. They are more gentle and delicate in aesthetic language, more focused on network high-tech, art images and the sentiment of urban culture in artistic experience, and have more self-confidence when expressing national feelings. ”
During the Festival, a variety of rich and colorful activities will also be held. |
