In fact, this year’s CIFIT has impressed many international friends. Mr. Ruiz, Vice Chairman of the Cuban Council of Ministers who had participated in previous CIFIT's, praised CIFIT as “a highly influential international investment event."
Mr. Vladimir Pesevski, Deputy Prime Minister of Macedon, who has come to China for the first time, said he was impressed by the fireworks evening gala in celebration of CIFIT.
Samoa's Deputy Prime Minister spoke highly of China’s development and the urban construction of Xaimen in his speech made at the "International Investment Forum".
Mayors from Malaysia’s Penang, Holland’s Zoetermeer, Costa Rica’s Geerfeituo and other cities who attended the 7th International Sister Cities Mayor’s Forum have said that the forum not only set up a platform between international sister cities, but also provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on how to deal with the financial crisis and seek development between them.
Foreign ambassadors, consuls-general and the Japan-China Investment promotion agency have also praised highly the organization work of this CIFIT, saying the organizing committee of CIFIT has really done a great job even though the scale is much larger than before.
In this year’s CIFIT, the Xiamen Municipal Foreign Affairs Office has invited and received 83 foreign delegations from more than 30 countries and regions, including the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Romania, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
