A promotion delegation from the CIFIT Organizing Committee visited Europe from October 7 to 21 as part of the Chinese Trade and Investment Promotion Delegation organized by the Ministry of Commerce. The promotion delegation hosted a large trade and investment promotion event in the Belgian city of Brussels, where they conducted face-to-face talks with businesses from various sectors. 

 
In the midst of the ongoing international financial crisis, diminishing demand in the international marketplace, and the global economic recession, all nations around the world are looking to strengthen bilateral financial and economic cooperation, attract greater foreign investment, and promote nation-to-national economic and trade partnerships. Against this background, the arrival of the Chinese Trade and Investment Promotion Delegation attracted intense attention. The local government attached significant importance to the promotion even and arranged for more than 100 representatives from many major businesses to talk to the CIFIT delegation. 
 

At the promotion event, the CIFIT delegation introduced CIFIT’s functions in attracting foreign capital. In particular, the CIFIT delegation elaborated on the functions of the CIFIT’s project matchmaking symposia and China’s superb investment climate. Many attendees expressed interest in taking part in CIFIT to explore opportunities for cooperation with Chinese enterprises.
