The 7th Shanghai Expo International Forum was held in Beijing on November 12. Premier of the State Council Wen Jiabao stressed in the speech delivered at the opening ceremony that China’s holding Shanghai Expo will be an opportunity for whether China or the world and certainly produce profound effect on the most extensively spreading and carrying forward the idea of Expo and promoting the world’s peace and development.

Wen said hosting a series of Expo international forums is an important activity to extensively spread the idea of Expo and add weight to Expo. Such forum, themed with “gather wisdoms across the globe to create urban future”, is of great significance to enrich the connotation of 2010 Shanghai Expo and promote the successful host of the Expo.
