The promotional symposium of the 14th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) and the 2nd World Investment Forum (WIF) was held in Hong Kong on June 3 and the sponsors have invited the businessmen from across the globe to take part in Xiamen in September to share commercial opportunities and seek development together.
The promotional symposium was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the organizing committee of the CIFIT. Deputy Director of the organizing committee and Mayor of Xiamen municipality Liu Cigui stated that WIF themed international investment and development is a global forum sponsored by the UNCTAD, and the CIFIT is China’s now largest-scale international investment and commercial trade meeting aiming to boost bilateral investment and trade. “The 2nd WIF will be held on September 6 and the 14th CIFIT on September 8 in Xiamen and the overlapping of two investment meetings will more highlight the commercial opportunities.”
