Recently, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and the China International Electronic Commerce Center (CIECC) signed the MOU on boosting the development of Shanghai e-commerce and the construction of online international trade center to serve as a major move to implement the ministry-municipality cooperation agreement signed by the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and Shanghai in the e-commerce development. The above-mentioned two units will in the ministry-municipality cooperation framework focus on the development goal that Shanghai will be built into the international trade center, gather related ministry-municipality resources and integrating the features of Shanghai municipal e-commerce development to promote the municipal e-commerce development in an effort to build Shanghai into the e-commerce demonstration city of the state in accordance with the strategic orientation of “based on Shanghai to serve the whole country”.
