CPI in June Rose 2.9% from a Year Earlier but Declined 0.6% from a Month Earlier

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) issued data at a press conference held by the Information Office of the State Council on July 15 that in the first half of this year, China’s CPI rose 2.6% year-on-year, of which in June, the CPI rose 2.9% from a year earlier but declined 0.6% from a month earlier.
Over the same period, China’s CPI witnessed a year-on-year increase of 2.6%. Among them, CPI rose 2.5% in cities and 2.8% in rural areas.
