A promotion seminar was held on July 27 in Taiwan for the upcoming 14th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) and the 2nd China International Property Investment Fair (CIPIF). The promotion seminar, the first one held by CIFIT organizers, attracted reporters from more than 30 Taiwanese media organizations and representatives from over 100 property developers and property service providers.
At the seminar, Li Liuquan, vice director of the Liaison Department of the CIFIT Organizing Committee and vice director of the China (Xiamen) International Investment Promotion Center, introduced the CIFIT and the highlights of the 14th CIFIT, as well as the 2nd CIPIF.
According to Mr. Liu, the CIPIF is the most important industry investment promotion event at the CIFIT and a major initiative for the CIFIT organizers to promote property investment projects. The CIPIF will feature land transfer, primary land development, development of key sites, development of tourism and commercial sites, and provision of property services. It’s set to become a high-level specialized international property investment fair with substantial results.
Mr. Liu also stated that the mainland has embarked up massive property development and has accumulated a wealth of experience in this regard. He added that the mainland is set to benefit from Taiwan’s expertise in architectural design and eco-technology applications. He predicted that Taiwan will see an influx of mainland capital in two to three years after the ECFA was signed. He expressed his confidence that the CIFIT and CIPIT will provide a superb platform for mainland ant Taiwan property businesses to consolidate their partnership.
At the seminar, Mr. Qiu Fusheng, chairman of Taiwan Land Development Co. signed an agreement with the organizing committee to stage an exhibition at the 2nd CIPIF. The organizing committee authorized the company to enlist exhibitors in Taiwan for the CIPIF for the coming three years. Mr. Qiu stated that since the ECFA was signed, expectations have been rising from the mainland property industry to invest in Taiwan, and that the CIFIT and CIPIF will help showcase Taiwan’s attractiveness as a potential destination for property investors. Hualien, Hsinchu, Kinmen and Taichung will unveil investment projects worth more than RMB 8 billion at the CIPIF.
The promotion seminar received an enthusiastic response from Taiwanese enterprises. Kee Tai Properties, Rishengsheng, and many other Taiwanese property companies have stated intent to take part in the CIPIF.
