With the purpose of strengthening the communication and cooperation between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, 10 activities related to Taiwan will be held during the 14th CIFIT.
 
Fairs
 
1. Themed as “Strait Travel, Win-win Cooperation”, the 6th Cross-Strait Travel Fair will be held at the same time with the 14th CIFIT, and there will be series of activities relevant to the fair such as Strait Travel “1+1” (tour operator) Fair, Strait Tourist Spots Card’s issuing ceremony, Tourist Routes Inspection (Kinmen, Penghu, Fujian and its neighboring provinces and cities). The scale of this year’s travel fair will be much larger than the previous version, and it will set up Taiwan Investment Exhibit Area and Taiwan Goods Exhibit Area.
 
2. The 2nd China International Fair for Investment in Property (CIFIP) will set up Taiwan Pavilion for the first time. The exhibit area will be over 400 square metres, and over 10 Taiwan companies will be participating in it.
 
Forums & seminars
 
1. Jointly hosted by China Ministry of Commerce and Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the 5th Cross-Strait Economic and Trade Cooperation & Development Forum will focus on ECFA, the charge person of Taiwan Industrial and Commercial Organization and people who will participate in ECFA negotiations from both sides of Taiwan Strait will give speeches on the forum.
 
2. Jointly hosted by CIFIT’s organizing committee and Taiwan Software Association and themed as “intelligent medical care, intelligent scenic spot and intelligent manufacture”, an Internet of Things Communication Meeting & Industry Development Trend Forum will be held.
 
3. Xiamen Water Supply Group will hold the “2010 Cross-Strait Safety & Health of Drinking Water” Seminar.
 
Project matchmaking
 
1. The “Project Matchmaking Symposia for Taiwan Enterprises” will be held, about 40 Taiwan enterprises relevant to financial, software, tourism, and cultural creative industry will be participating.
 
2. The “Project Matchmaking Symposia for Taiwan Agricultural Industry" will be held, about 30 enterprises from Taiwan and foreign countries will be participating.
 
3. From 7th to 9th September, the “3rd Cross-Strait (Quanzhou) Agricultural Products Procurement Fair” will be held at Fujian-Taiwan Agricultural Goods Trade Market (located at Shijing Town, Nan’an City).
 
Apart from that, a Cross-Strait Family Sodality will be held from 8th to 11th September at Xiamen Cultural & Arts Centre.
