A delegation headed by the deputy director of the conference affairs department of CIFIT’s organizing committee visited their partners in Beijing from Nov 13 to 15.

Deputy director Yang Shaojing presented the partners with a summary of the 2018 CIFIT and its achievements, as well as the highlights and preparations for next year.

Representatives of CIFIT’s partners in Beijing were positive about the achievements CIFIT has made over the past 20 years and promised to continue supporting the event.

Chen Hongbin, assistant director of the finance channel of China Central Television (CCTV), suggested CIFIT pay more attention to investment related to Belt and Road countries, international finance and private companies.

The delegation also visited the China Association for Promoting UN Procurement (CAPUNP) for the first time.

The CAPUNP is a non-profit UN organization approved by China’s State Council with the aim of stimulating the participation of Chinese companies in the UN procurement process while helping them utilize the UN's global network to promote themselves to the outside world.

Wang Yunan, standing vice-chairman of the CAPUNP, said that their work shares a lot of common ground with the theme of CIFIT in promoting Chinese companies’ cooperation with foreign counterparts.

Wang added that the CAPUNP is willing to establish a long-standing relationship with CIFIT’s organizing committee.

There are 10 CIFIT partners based in Beijing: the Association of Economy and Trade Across Taiwan Straits, the China Association for International Economic Cooperation, the Investment Promotion Bureau of China’s Ministry of Commerce, the China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, the finance channel of CCTV, China Electronic Commerce Association, the working committee of investment companies of the China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, Economy and Nation Weekly (owned by China’s state news agency, Xinhua), the investment group Grand World Group, and a new energy company named Seiyong Group.
