The 4th CIFIT was held ceremoniously at the newly completed Xiamen International Conference and ExhibitionCenter on Sept. 8-12, 2000.

This fair was China’s largest international investment promotion event in the new century. There were 43 member units taking part in the Fair.

During the 4th CIFIT more than 100 agencies, multinational corporations and enterprises from over 30 countries and regions exhibited in the Fair. More than 3000 business guests from Taiwan took part in the 4th CIFIT. The 4th CIFIT firstly set up Taiwan Pavilion.

The 4th CIFIT had 1261 contracts signed with a total amount of foreign 5.001 billion USD.

The International Investment Forum was held at the 4th CIFIT for the first time, which is the highest platform for release of China’s policies and information concerning foreign capital utilization.

The 4th CIFIT witnessed the holding of 13 symposia, 91 VIPs attended the seminars and delivered speeches.

More than 300 medium agencies and over 1400 journalists both at home and abroad gathered news at the 4th CIFIT.
